Second to Seneca, Mo at Carl Junction and 3rd of 19 teams at Claremore, Oklahoma without one of their top wrestlers. They field a full team, but have had to go without one or two wrestlers due to academic committments. It's just weird that Pitt moved down a spot and Gardner moved up to #7 from #10. What goes into the rankings. I know all that matters is what happens at state, I'm just curious.


I think the ranker simply counts the points that would be awarded to each individual ranked wrestler. Pittsburg has several kids that are able to pick up points in these tournaments but will probably not place in state. However, their heavyweight (Bennet)is one that has picked up points in every tournament so far and has only one loss. He is the most improved wrestler that I have seen. He has beaten several ranked wrestlers already this year and will hopefuly find himself on the podium this year.
