Since we are a USA wrestling state...

FOR USA KIDS:

If you place in the to 8 of the USA Nationals (Folkstyle, Freestyle, or Greco Roman) in one of the USA age groups then you are OFFICIALLY recognized by USA Wrestling as an ALL AMERICAN. Complete with a certificate suitable for framing.

OTHER:

Brute Nationals gives out an All American certificate as well but the competition is cut in half since they award by each grade level instead of every two years.

NHSCA does the same for Fr, So, Jr, and Sr. level high school wrestlers.

AAU has similiar awarding too.

Rocky Mountain Nationals has a series of tournaments which recognize National Placers.

Bill Gossett's American Crown series is another.


HIGH SCHOOL:

Placing in the top 8 at Fargo in Freestyle or Greco Roman (Junior level) is probably the most challenging ALL AMERICAN status achievement and considered by all involved in wrestling as being a really good measure of capability.
