If you promise to bail me out of the KSHSAA jail I will video and post all of the finals.

Seriously, did you receive any hassle during filming or since posting?

Yo Don King, be a Rosa Parks and say'' F--- you KSHSAA.' "I'm tried to be reasonable. But you were not. And, I will no longer sit in the BACK OF THE BUS!"

Just kidding (sort of). I understand it is not worth jeopardizing you son's remaining HS wrestling years if the KSHSAA Nazis become even dumber than they currently are.

Speaking of dumb, remember the movie, "Dumb and Dumber"? I wonder if they had the KSHSAA in mind when they wrote that film?

Nothing negative about posting them. I am surprised with all the shaky footage. Next time I will bringing a tripod because your arms get a little tired after a while. But yea I will bail you out.

I'm broke, but I'll scrounge up ten bucks and put it in the hat to help bail you out.

I here ya on the importance of a tripod. It is amazing how much better my videos are when I use a tripod (and, how fatigued my arm gets when I don't).

Plus, Wlll - maybe if you make a youtube account under a fake name, (I know, you are a fan of full disclosure - but remember, we are dealing with Nazis here) then as has been mentioned here before, how are the Nazis going to ENFORCE this silly rule?

Unjust rules are meant to be broke. Hence Rosa can now sit any where she wants on the bus (I know she is dead. I'm just continuing my metaphor for this thread).

Maybe if they combine the refs from Derby and Augusta you wont have to worry about finals footage. Yea I watched the You tube footage. 2 refs at Derby and 2 at Augusta that need to stay away from High school sports.

Regarding the Derby officials. I was there. I thought there were some questionable calls. The calls at the 152 final have been beaten to death on this forum. Even submitted to another board, in another state that has mostly wrestling officials. Most of them agreed that the final at 152 was called correctly. As was stated by the poster of that great link, the people at that forum were knowledgeable and objective because 'they had no horse in the race.'

Have you ever reffed a match before? It is very, very hard. I have done it before. One year was enough for me. I was not very good at it.

Try it yourself for a year -- then see if you develop a little empathy for the zebras. Without them, we have no sport. They are not perfect, nobody is. But, for the most part, they do a good job.

I would like to be able pause and rotate 360 degrees and continue. Oh, and overhead option too please. That's not asking to much is it? Oh, and a little clock in the corner of the picture so I can see how much time is available.

Or, just a narrative, on-going commentary;

"And now 'so and so' has been awarded a takedown. That makes the score 3-1 at the end of the first period."

So on and so forth, until the end of the match.

And please make sure you get the ref in the tapes at all times also so that we may all judge whether a call was made or not!

I enjoyed watching the finals from Derby - thank you for taping them and putting them out here - I started to make a comment about feeling like I was watching the Blair Witch Project with the camera motion, but that seemed ungrateful!

I got nearly every minute of action except the 112 match. Power issues... I didn't narrate so you will just have to watch. No controversial calls. I don't have high speed at home, on an aircard right now, so I will have to upload tomorrow evening from my office. (Kids tournament in Burlington in the morning, my third tournament this weekend.)

Good ref'n.

I think after all the stink from Derby, the refs took some extra care. They let scrambles work themselves out, and several refs could be heard or seen emphatically signaling close or no calls--especially along the out of bounds ring.

Good job!!!
