Corado vs. O'Hara would have NOT been a pin even if the slam wasnt illegal It was DEFINATELY a pin, and there was nothing illegal about the slam! The call was booed very loudly by everyone in the stands. Nothing against BT, he looked very good but the match was definately over after the takedown. I know your were extremely close to the action, what did you think was illegal about the slam?? when you take someone from above your head and drop them straight to the ground it is an illegal move the whole crowd was booing because of the poor sportsmanship shown by Corado and when you drop someone from that high and their body goes limp when they hit the ground you know its an illegal slam! I have watched the video countless times it is in no way possible that it could be legal!

I would love to see the video of the slam, maybe you can post it on youtube. From what I saw, Corado never left his feet, and did not drive O'Hara into the mat. I still have no clue what was illegal about it. Corado hit a beautiful crotch and claw exactly how it is coached to him.
All of the boos around our section were definatley because of the call. I don't think there was anything unsportsman like. As far as I know Mario and B.T. have always been buddies off the mat.
I am not knocking B.T. in anyway. In fact, I thought that B.T. looked really good and strong. I just don't agree with the call.

when i watch it i see Corado slamming OHara down and coming down on top forcefully everyone has their own opinion of what happened and i highly doubt if it wasnt called illegal that Corado would have pinned O'Hara it just would have changed some of the wrestling going into the 3rd period

KSHSAA Wrestling Manual; Page 19 Second Paragraph at top of Page states that a wrestler may wrestle "no more than" two weight classes above that which he has certified. So, if a wrestler has certified at 130 he can weigh in at 130+2 and wrestle 135 or 140 without breaking certification.

He has to have at least HALF of his weigh-ins at 130.

I don't know many coaches that would allow one of their wrestlers to take the spot of the guy the next weight up the week of regionals, especially if that guy had been there all year long.

So did Lucas Vincent certify at 285 or how does all that work? Just wondering how a guy that decided he wasnt going to wrestle this year suddenly changes his mind and decides to wrestle 1/2 way through the season and has to cut to 285, just makes me wonder if he certified back when he wasn't going to wrestle.
