Nomination for grandmother of the year:

Grandma 77 yeas old, drove with Grandpa 500 miles to watch grandson wrestle. She has been a wrestling fan since the sport began! She would take a bunch of junior high boys to watch the state meet in Denver. Crazy mom! Now she has the team poster hanging in her living room and knows them all by name.

At Blue Valley NorthWest tournament Grandma moved to another "fan" seating area to better watch her grandson. He was wrestling a boy from that fan section. It was intense and the grandson won a close match. Another boy from our team was wrestling on the same mat so Grandma said she wanted to stay and watch. "They are all my boys." After that match an altercation occured between some of our fans and the other fans. Grandma doesnt walk well and has heart problems so we just sat there while the event was happening. In the midst of this a man asked that we move back to our fan location. Grandma doubled up her fists and said "You want to fight?"

Luckily no one was injured. LOL

Everything was worked out between the fans and all is good. But Police have been notified to watch out for the old woman the Zebra purse.

She is the hero to the wrestling team and is coming again to watch regionals and state.
