This is one tough regional that will probably result in some state qualifiers form last year staying home. If you are coming out of this regional, you ought to feel very good about placing at State the next weekend. I looking forward to seeing how the #4 seeds from this regional do against the # 1 seeds from the other regional's.

I was looking at 160 here and there could be somewhere around 10 kids with winning records.

Your right chewie,,,,,160 may not be the toughest weight class at the norton regional but it could prove to be the most exciting. The talent below is very evenly matched....This weight class is going to be awesome to watch......
shirk norton morgan pburg mayes beloit kinderknect ellis stewart oakly staples trego brunk st. francis hannah hill city and maybe eaton smith center

Thyfault from Plainville has a winning record also. I might be missing another one as well.

According to the most recent rankings, 112 will have the top 4 ranked wrestlers in 321A. Should be an exciting weekend with so many good wrestlers at all the weights.
The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital.

I remember when that NW regional was always the toughest, at least over 50%, ans sometimes quite higher %, of wrestlers from that regional won state medals.

I've got a few questions and comments about this regional off first glance:
Based off of the finals lineup and team race I think they just need to call this regional the "NWKL and MCL Regional".
What happened to Galloway of Stockton at 119 losing in the 1st round to a freshmen with a losing record?
Why is Hunsicker of Ellis wrestling 125 when he was at 119 for the first half of the year? Looks like he shot himself in the foot going up a weight, he'll have to come through the backdoor now.
Kinderknecht of Ellis appears to have the proper choice in bumping up weights from 152 where he might not of qualified and now at 160 where he has a chance to contend for a state championship.
Jirak from Oakley appears to be just mowing through opponents with a 31-0 record coming into the tournament and three 1st period pins going into the finals today.
Norton is having a great tournament as a team and looks like the team to beat at Gross Memorial after a three year hiatus from the top spot.
This is by far the toughest regional in 321A.
