The 2009-10 USAWA East KS All-Senior Team has been announced! Members qualified by being mentioned in the final KWCA rankings and/or being a State Qualifier with a season winning percentage of at least 65%. Congratulations!

You should be proud of this accomplishment. You are being recognized for how you have represented our sport both on and off the mat. Through your young wrestling career, you have learned some very important life lessons. Wrestlers very rarely complain. We outwork our opponents. We are hardened by battle and our mental toughness is second to no one. We have empathy for our competitors after competition. We are humble in victory and learn from every defeat. Carry these lessons as you complete your journey through life. There will always be a home for you in USAWA-Kansas. Please take the time to continue mentoring the future of our sport by officiating, coaching, and leading your life as an example for those who are to follow you.

Honorees selected for this team will be considered for selection to wrestle in the USAWA East Kansas Senior Classic. Your coach will soon be distributing a recognition letter and survey form to you. You must return the survey form to me ASAP. This survey will express your interest to participate. All interested honorees will be pooled and two dual teams will be selected the week following the High School State Tournaments. Those selected will be notified. The USAWA East Kansas Senior Classic will be wrestled Friday evening March 19th at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka, KS.

What is the weight allowance for this dual? Another correction is Cap Welsh. He is a 189 pounder and not 215.

I believe you have a wrestler from Fredonia in your listing. Isn't this event limited to those schools located in Kid's District 1? FYI Fredonia is located in District 2.

If you made the East KS All Senior Team and still need survey forms, I will email them to you upon request. This is a great event…don’t miss out.

We are having a pre-selection committee meeting on Thursday night to review the survey forms sent in. I am hoping to be ready to publically release our line-up on Wednesday, March 10. Call me if you have questions.
