If you build the brackets prior to weigh-in they will change. They will need to be built again. It's just more work.
Once the seeding meeting is done the brackets should never change even if a kid doesnt show up or doesn't make weight. If that happens then it is a scratch in the bracket and the person that they were to wrestle gets a bye. That's how it has always been when it comes to Subs.
Nope, if a bracket drops to four man or less for any reason then it has to be rebracketed to a round robin per our by-laws. This happens quite often, particularly in the high school age groups. I don't pretend to be an authority on Trackwrestling but from what I understand, to change any one bracket causes the entire tournament to be re-numbered. If that is the case, then you could have people who didn't plan to show up early in the morning because they had weighed in the night before and saw a high first match number. They could miss their first match.
