I know I will catch some heck for this but here goes. I keep hearing eastern kansas talking about tournaments out west. So IMO the top 5 tournaments in western ks are Hays, Great Bend, Ulysses, Hosington and Scott City. These are here for the following reasons. Venue, concessions, competion, experience of workers, availability of eating establishments in their towns or close by. Honorable mention Lakin and Cimarron. So you guys out east need to come see us.

Venue, concessions, competion, experience of workers, availability of eating establishments in their towns or close by. Sounds like good reasons to me although I would move competition to the back of the list. While I've been to all of those towns more than once I sadly have never attended a tournament there. Just too many tournaments here in the southcentral region to justify the trip.

The only problem I've found with many of those western Kansas towns you mentioned is, I can smell the beef while I'm eating it!
