does anybody go to the sunflower games?? my boys want to go and wrestle but is it worth it??

I used to go back when I was in school, but don't anymore. It's a good place to go to wrestle I would say. Gets you a few matches anyway.

I think it depends on your kid's weight. My son is in the upper weights and he only had 1 kid to wrestle last year. Most of the weights if I remember correctly combined for more wrestlers.

Last year my son had only 1 kid to wrestle at 12/105.

I think the older they get typically more people show. I know high school age typically has a good showing.

Weighs-ins required.
Friday, July 22nd, 5-9 pm (Highly Recommended).
Saturday 23rd, 6-8 am.
Sunday 24th, 6-8 am.
(Pairings will be made at this time, to ensure 10:00 a.m. start time please weigh-in early)

ALL FREESTYLE WRESTLERS MUST CHECK IN/WEIGH-IN BEFORE 8 A.M. SUNDAY MORNING

Competition begins at 10:00 a.m.

FEE: $25 per athlete; Additional $10 to compete in second style.

Age determined by actual age on day of competition

Who all is planning on going? It's a good time. We have camped at Shawnee lake the past 2 years for the weekend. Make it a family thing. Lots of fun.

I think I might come this year...doubt I will wrestle, my official comeback to the mats will be a college open more than likely.

Sometimes they have high school weights but they will add like a 250 lb class in the middle just in case.
