I don't want this to come off a sounding like a jerk but is Derby really requiring a 5 dollar donation added into their entry fee? I have parents that are asking if they are really required to make a donation to a group that they have no idea what it is and to be forced into a donation is upsetting to people? Can someone from the Derby group please weigh in on this and maybe explain it to me a little better so I can pass the information along.
