Sounds to me like the entry fee is $20.00 . When that is paid it is the clubs money and they have decided to donate a portion of THEIR money to a charity. They are certainly free to do whatever they want with it.
Kinda how I see it as well. A club can charge whatever amount they want, and what they do with that money is their business. If I feel they are charging too much I will take my business elsewhere.
