Dose it realy matter if they cheat on the smaller turnamets.What matters is the state and the few big ones out there.I have helped at the scales a few times,there has been many times kids go in just slightly over.Just like every thing in life some of us do all we can right,some dont.I think saving the cash and getting a few more kids in there with my son is what it is about.
I do know I teach my son the way it should be.If you are over you are over.I think it will just make him a better man.
Does it matter if the points are only right at State? Club Coaches need to assist the wrestlers in appropriate weight management throughout the season. If the kid is overweight MOVE him up! What does this truly teach children? It only matters on the big stage? Who's fudging who? Honesty is always the fairest policy. Remote weigh-ins are terrific but evaluate the kids trend -- does the kid only "move up" when there is on-site weigh-in? CRB sounds like you've got the integrity part down & teaching your son correctly. All in all -- it is what it is.
