Because you have to have someone doing the brackets that knows every kid in the bracket. Don't know if you've been to a subdistrict seeding meeting, but it is tough to seed kids, even with all the coaches in the room that know the kids. I'm sure Augusta did the best they could. At this time of year, it is about mat time. A couple of our kids that, for their first match, drew the kid that ended up winning the tourney, ended up getting a couple of extra matches, and taking 3rd. All in all, it turned out better for them, since they got more mat time. The kids might not think so, but like I said, it all comes out in the wash.....
