I disagree. If a club runs a poor tournament, I as a potential future customer, want to know about it. I discount any posts about results being posted at ANY time. But if a club starts wrestling late I want to know.

I do not leave my name. My son and my club may not think the same way I do.
I will give my name in a PM or would be glade to set down with any one. Some people think, people do not put there names down from fear. That is not always the case.
I have already had people in a club treat my kid in a bad way dew to my mouth and what I think.

I copied this from another topic and I hope Richard does not mind but:

For your convenience I have copied the forum rules below.

"Board Rules
This is a free forum, created for the purpose of promoting Kansas wrestling, and those who wrestle, through the exchange of thoughts and suggestions, and for the recognition of the accomplishments of those involved in our sport.

There are just two basic rules that are necessary to keep in mind. First, remember that this is a family oriented forum, and is regularly viewed by young wrestlers. Second, "cheap shots" will not be tolerated. If you are going to post a message critical of an individual, group or idea, you must give your true name and/or email address. Be willing to stand behind your comments, or keep them to yourself."

If you are going to be critical of the Maize Club sign your name to your post.

you are responsible for what comes out of your mouth so if your man enough to spout it out you should be man enough to let everyone know who you are. by the way who are you sporto and what club do you come from so we can just let everyone know how your tournament was ran. good or bad people just want to know anyways. like i said before i have put my foot in my mouth several times here but was man enough to tell everyone who i am. every time i introduce myself at tournaments and say im bockman and people say oh really. i really dont care what people think of me as im entitled to my opinion and some will agree and some will dis-agree. i would not stoop as low as to attack someone for anything said in this forum but if my family was attacked that would be different. those that would actually attack someone for something they said here have a mental problem. so im not sure if those that arent adding their name out of fear should even be a problem.

If you read Mr. Parker's post in this thread, I too have seen message board disputes turn very very ugly, including but not limited to, attempting to get posters fired, stalking, etc. One of the boards on which I participate, one of the regular posters was jailed by the owners of another site for violating a restraining order. Twice on this very forum we have seen unauthorized background checks posted on members. In this very thread, we see one poster resort to profanity just because someone dares to disagree with him. It's not that they want someone to post their name, rather they DON'T want someone to disagree with their point of view.

That doesn't mean others share your values.

Proof in point in this thread! Bottomline is, some people can't stand losing, even a stupid message board debate.

Guy's I think the point is well made. If you can't put your name to a post that might spark contrivercy, don't post it. And after all I believe thats fair. Alot of the problems today stems from not being held accountable for our actions or words. Be responsible for what you say. Freedom of Speech says you can indeed say what you want or feel. That does not protect you the repercussions. Open forum or not. that just seems fair. You slam a tournament, ref, town, club who cares! You make a personal attach on someone on here. And you can bet some will seek a face to face descussion. And if you feel strongly enough about go ahead if you are not sure its worth the repercussions don't its a choice.

Even though your name is stated (which I knew) it could be passed off as just a screen name. Therefore the lol at the end, ask your kids what that means if you don't know.

I have my own personal views and opinions and it is a shame that the people on this forum hold my opinions againest my club or my son.
Looking back sometimes I wish I would of never posted my name. But I also like to think that my name also (sometimes) gives my posts some credibility!
BUT, it don't bother me if people don't leave their name. I'm smart enough to see who's worth my time and who isn't!
Plus the way people get worked up over it is sometimes the funniest post to read! Lol
Besides, just because someone leaves a name doesn't give them the right to talk to or talk down to other people the some people on here already do.

Just my opinion!

what people dont realize is just because you sign your name its not like people are going to know who you are at the tournaments anyways. even if they do who cares. your opinion is what you think and thats fair. just because you dont agree doesnt mean they are going to come looking for you anyways. only time i would even really talk to someone face to face is if they said something about my family. i have gotten worked up on a few topics on here but try really hard to say more positive things. there are just some people who have to say something negative about everything. rather than talk directly to the club about what they see as a problem. every tournament there is going to be someone say they didnt like this or that. every tournament also have people say great job from others. the most important thing is did the kids enjoy it and get some mat time. thats what we are all here for anyways isnt it. i see people talk about the refs, the long lines at the snack bar, no posting this or that, weigh ins, heck i even said something about my kid getting a bad seed. now that was in oklahoma so that is fair to say lol. anyways none of this is as important as the kids getting the mat time.
