I'll be working on getting all the 5th and 6th place finishers entered into the tournament to fill the 8man brackets as discussed on other topics. I'll try and get started today, but may not get done until tonight.
I'll also be contacting clubs to check on alternates....this may take some time....please be patient.
Send me an e-mail if you have any questions... prattwrestlingclub@yahoo.com.
Thanks, Greg Pelland Pratt Wrestling Club

I've removed the scratches provided by the North and South Sub districts. GO IN AND VERIFY ALL OF YOUR QUALIFIERS ARE ENTERED.
All brackets are (should be) correct. I added the following wrestlers to the tournament. If you won't be coming, please email me at prattwrestlingclub@yahoo.com. I sent an e-mail to each club and have talked to a few of you directly...

Im new to this so I am just asking at the risk of sounding stupid...
I understood that the top 4 wrestlers from each sub-district advance to districts this week? So, am I misunderstanding that senerio in that I am now understanding by the above that the 5th & 6th place placers are now eligible for districts?
Thank you, just asking so I understand, not gripping or anything

If one of the top four placers don't advance on for some reason. (hurt, vacation, sick.....) they will take the 5th place finisher in his/her place. Or if one of the sub districts had 2 wrestlers in the bracket and the other sub district had 6 wrestlers in the bracket they will take all 6 wrestlers from that sub. To make an 8 man bracket at district.

Thank you for the explaination, I understand the premise I guess, although it would still leave an incomplete bracket if there was 5 from one and 1 or 2 from the other.. While a wrestler may have already beat another and placed higher to advance so they should beat a "fill" in again to advance to state it just seems that hypothecially a "gift" seed could advance to state by beating someone who actually won to get there creating a potential conflict?
I would say a wrestlers skil should propel them past a lower seed and make this a non-issue, the fact remains that it is likely to pose an issue in that on any given day a wrestler could lose to a lower seed or be fatigued while wrestling a higher seed later. Then again, this is just 2nd year for us and this is new to us so I may be reading to much into this.

Not really because this is how it works.
Example. District 4 N. 1st. Joe 2nd Sam 3rd. Bill 4th Tom
District 4 S. 1st. Frank 2nd. Mark 3rd. Bye 4th Bye They would match up like this.
Joe vs Bye Sam vs Bye Bill vs mark Tom vs Frank
At least this would be 1st round if they get beat then it all changes.
