Perhaps the tournament management could see that bout lists were available to the head coach of each team, prior to starting?

That would be good for the first round, but you will still have to go to the wall brackets after the second round, unless the brackets are pre-printed with match numbers, and no changes made to the numbers. Even then, a club with 20 kids, that is almost impossible to keep up! A good wife with wrestling experience is more valuable than any software program could be at that point.

Actually, at most high school tournaments the head coach is furnished a bout list at the beginning of each round.

I do not believe you have been to most high school tournaments!

The Augusta, Douglass, Chanute, etc. High School Tournaments have approximately sixteen teams and the first round bout list is only a few pages.

Our Kids State Tournament has many more teams and many more first round bouts. A first round bout list, while not a bad idea, would be a small booklet.

The congestion on the floor is already difficult to navigate and with the line forming prior to each round for coaches to receive a bout list would be unmanageable.

Comparing the vast majority of high school invitational tournament tournaments to our State Championship Tournament is similar to comparing grapes to watermelons.

I stated in the first post that I wasn't sure TW could perform this task. Ideally TW would sort the bout lists by team which then could be distributed. As to the high school tournaments I have attended, you are correct, rather just all the ones I attend do this. The floor is congested due to our own inabilities to keep those not involved in coaching off the floor, and that should be a separate matter, and we shouldn't use that for our failings in other areas. The concern of coaches needing those first round bout numbers is legit and needs to be addressed in one manner or another instead of making excuses why we can't.

track wrestling has the feature that sporto is talkin about!! It will print off bout # for coaches. I hope they use it at state.
