Andrew Shipman, Marion, Kan., has signed a letter of intent to wrestle at Bethany College for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Shipman comes to Bethany from Marion High School. He is two-time state qualifier and has earned All-MCAA honors three times. In addition to wrestling, Shipman also participated in football, track, and cross country. He was on the honor roll all four years.

Head Wrestling Coach Jacob Marrs says, "Andy is a local stud with a lot of potential. He will be a great addition to our program here at Bethany."

Shipman is the son of Lee Shipman and Gina Perry. He has a 3.2 grade point average and is undecided on his major at this time.
