Folks please pray for the Lira Family as Johnny BATTLES for his life! He is the father of Kory Lira who had an out standing prep career for Ulysses High School and was a great assistant coach for UHS! He had open heart surgery, had major complications.

I sure hope Johnny makes it. My heart just sank. God be with them. I really enjoyed wrestling against and visting with them growing up. I had some real battles with kory when i was young.

Johnny is one tough man so I am confident he will pull through. I meant Johnny when we were in the 7th grade. He was the guy we all wanted to be back then. He was tough, a great wrestler, fun, and really good friend. My thoughts and prayers are going out to him. Please keep us posted.

I just got done talking to Kory, and he said Johnny is doing better, and there is a chance that he will get to go home tomorrow or Tuesday.
