Congratulations to Alex Bontz of Andover Central, Miles Johns of Newton, Lincoln Lemon of Goddard and Devin Webber of Wichita South for winning the prestigious award at their respective schools.
Am I missing any other wrestlers?

Thanks for posting this. It's nice to see the high level of academic in our sport. It's not given enough credit. Congrates to all the wrestlers who won this award and good luck on the State level.

Big props to Bontz.
I hear he made top 10 in Kansas. Isn't that right?
Of all the high schools in Kansas, only four wrestlers, listed above, earned the Heisman Scholar/Athlete Award. From the hundreds of student/athletes across the state earning the award, Alex made top 10. Congrats and best wishes to Alex Bontz at the regional and national level of the competition!

I could be wrong, but I believe the administration may nominate the student-athlete. From there, I think the kid does some work.
