"Out here" in our part of the world almost all schools who send their kids to wrestle somewhere as part of a co-op agreement are small and have no intentions, desires or plans to have their own wrestling program.
While I agree that wrestling as a sport is better off the more schools there are that take part, I think it is just as important or even more important that kids have the opportunity to participate.
Finally, as a technical matter, those schools who co-op are "fielding a team" at the regional tournament. OK, that is splitting hairs.
