The Mid Continent League and the Northwest Kansas League are joining forces and combining their League Tournaments. On January 28 the first-ever "Western Kansas Tournament of Champions" will be held in the Smith Center High School Gymnasium. (Following this year, the tournament is set to alternate between Trego-Wakeeney and Oberlin High Schools.)

For those with Nex-Tech cable TV the tournament will be broadcast IN IT'S ENTIRETY on channel 165 (the Smith Center school channel). Additionally, there will be play-by-play provided for the championship semi-final and final matches.

Wrestling will begin at 9:30 a.m. (provided there is cooperation in the seeding meeting!) and proceed as follows:
Front Side Quarterfinals- 3 mats
Semi-Finals- 3 mats
Backside Quarterfinals- 3 mats

Anticipated Lunch Break

Consolation Semi-Finals- 3 mats
5th and 6th place round- 3 mats
Championship Finals/Consolation Finals 2 mats
