I found their facebook page Dexter School District, so I am learning new things every day. They are called the Spartans, but clearly they have a Cardinal with a big "D" on its sweater for a mascot.
I believe that Dexter consolidated with Cedar Vale or they combine with one another in sports, this is why there are two mascots. Spartans is the name of their team sports and I guess for individual sports Dexter continues to go by the Cardinals moniker, but I could be wrong.
