Minus the Nigel/Dixiecupdude bantering..honestly for all the Mom's out there that read this forum and Dad's too...let's all make sure our boys are not going commando. My boys' coach made sure and the whole team has these speedo-type undies to go under the singlet. We, as parents, need to make sure they don't forget them. If those are not available then tight boxer briefs work as well.

One time I saw a guy from Derby wearing a cup under his singlet. Does that qualify as a "suitable undergarmet"?

mom160- your son might not to discuss many things with you but as a parent it is your right and responsibility to know. I love the commericial about drugs- and the parents needing to talk to their kids- wonder how many actual do though

Nurse- maybe we should poll-- how many parents talk to their kids? What I meant by my statement was that if you see your kid not dressed properly then you should tell them. I have seen many kids out there that if they had my father would not have been going out of the house and if they did it would be with a red bottom. It is the parents responsibility to raise their kids- some are not doing it well- some are doing a great job

Go for it Scooby...start a poll. Who talks to their kids about undergarments etc and how many kids wish their parents did. I would start a poll I just don't know how to.

Nurse- I am not starting a poll like that- it is not worthy. I think I said "How many parents talk to their kids" about any subject not just the undergarments. Basically I am saying that as parents- it is your right to discuss any matter with your kid. Whether they like it or not

Exactly. Undergarments in this day and age are the least of any worry. Perhaps it would open up more topics to discussion on wrestling besides just undergarments. Wrestling is more mental than physical. Becoming mentally prepared for anything in life has more merit than what the physical presents. I'm not a poll fan by any means.

sometimes sitting there talking to your parents will put you to sleep though, and then they get all mad at you...

*LOL* I talk to my kid all the time, AND he talks to me. However, there are certain things that are off-limits to me as a mother: I am not allowed to go on the football field or the wrestling mat if he is injured (unless he is unconcious), nor can I discuss certain guy things like underwear. These are treated with the same horror that I got from my daughter when she thought I may have read her diary. And yes, everytime that drug commercial comes on I ask my kid about drugs. ;-)
I do get what you are saying tho - as a teacher I am always amazed at the vast number of kids who don't have anyone looking out for them. It's really sad.

My college age daughter watches all you wrestlers who have "bunchy" underwear. She believes boxer briefs are the way to go. And believe me, she has done her homework!!!
