Currently, 56 wrestlers have confirmed they would attend the Grand State tournament. Currently, that is not near enough to continue working on this tournament. I will need at least 300 wrestlers to confirm on their attendance in order to reserve the Bi-Centenniel Center by November 20th.
Kansas - if you want this tournament to happen it will.
The final decision will be made on November 19th.

In order for you to get 300 wrestlers that is 21 kids for each of the 14 weight classes. That is asking for 87.5% of the state placers to participate or 33.5% of all of those who qualified for HS state. I would love to see it happen. It is a good idea. Here is the reality, I usually have 50 kids sign up for my kids tournaments as of the Saturday before the tournament only to end up with 500 by the Thursday before!
Wrestling families don't like to plan ahead. Someone will have to roll the dice if this is going to happen.
