Tim, I understand his frustration on being an alternate. But I would try to encourage participation he'll still get all the gear and wrestle some great kids and make some new friendships. Plus every year an alternate team ends up placing higher in the final brackets than some states top teams


I told Wil today after school where he was chosen and that is what it is. I feels as though he may have been disappointed not making a team. Im not going to ask him to wrestle if hes not going to give it all, never have and never will. Just my oppinion, but between #75, #80, #85 and #90 are some really tough kids. We have wrestled most of them over the years and they're all good. He has beat some and lost to others on the list at all these weights, but he weights #83 and at #80 I feel as the kids where chosen in the same order I would have chosen for the best team to represent Team Kansas.
