Hey Westfahl---

The following is from your earlier post--- "Biles didnt just give him that match, he got schooled for the last half of it and the overtime. You knnow when you win you win and when you lose you lose and there is just so long you can whine about it. I think the statute of limitations wore out on that match a while back."

First, how can you say the statute of limitations wore out? That's the fun part of discussion boards, bringing up subjects, no matter how old they are...Second, who was whining about it? Sure, Matt was pissed when the match was over, but he accepted it - But he and everyone else in Wichita that night also knew that Hernandez was pinned ...Third, Matt went on to wrestle at the University of Pennsylvania (before blowing a knee) - Where did Hernandez end up at??? Fourth, just because someone brings up a match that was 12 years ago, doesn't mean that people shouldn't talk about it..

I was in attendance that night when Matt Biles basically went out and destroyed Chris Hernandez their senior year (1991)...As a matter of fact, I was matside taking pictures and somewhere in my files, I have the photos to prove that Hernandez was pinned...

Biles went out like a man on a mission and had Hernandez on his back in the first 20 seconds of the match...He had him in a half-nelson most of the entire 1st period, but the lead official never called the pin (the assistant official, however, was calling for it...Tim McGinnis, Bonner's coach at the time, was livid, and the Ark City coach and Hernandez both breathed a sigh of relief when the period ended...

Not long into the second period, he rolled his ankle and broke it...A tough break, but there is no way that the match goes into overtime and/or Matt loses that match if he could have stood on both legs...You have to give Hernandez credit, though, for "taking advantage of the situation."
