Not sure what I think of Outstanding Wrestler awards. We had so many outstanding wrestlers in our tourney this weekend I felt bad not voting for any of them. I will say this for Daniel Lewis though, I voted for him because of the way he wrestled. He wrestled (and I am adding in my head here) about 3:45 total in the entire tourney. He took out Watkins, who is no slouch, in less than :30 seconds in the final. He did it so easy that it looked like it was not a hard matchup but Watkins is very very tough.

A little about Lewis that I find impressive is that he has not given up a point this season and has not yet seen the start of the third period I don't believe. I thought he was outstanding in every sense of the word but still I don't like that particular award because it is so very hard for any two people to have the same criteria in their minds for it. That was mine, but everyone voting for it, and anywhere in the future would have a different set of criteria for his pick. Gosh we had some good ones in the finals. Some have been mentioned on here but there are even more. Very tough to single wrestler for that kind of thing. But...it is what it is. Sure was fun watching them. Tell you one thing, all those big basketball games were being played our the country and nobody at Basehor High School yesterday between 5 and 8 gave a darn about that. What a weekend it was.
