An addition to Beeson's post, I agree that making it easier will not keep their interest. By making it easier to win a State Championship at 6u and by limiting "extremely large brackets" I feel your doing more harm than good. What happens when little Johnny wins 6U state by winning a small bracket and then moves to 8U and runs into a wall and where its not easy? He quits or gets frustrated by the sport. My son competed in a 44 kid bracket last year at 6U state and there wasn't a single gripe about wrestling too much in fact he very much enjoys large brackets and it prepares them for if they want to go to the large tournaments such as Tulsa Nationals, Liberty Nationals and Pre/Post Season Nationals. By watering it down for them now we're failing to prepare them for the future if they want to keep an interest in the sport.
