Ha that is great! I have 1 sometimes 2 kids that do that. 1 of them is usually on the losing side also. How they heck do you politely tell them to stop without breaching the “sportsmanship” clause they will come back with? For the record I 100% agree with you.
You don't do it politely. You explain that nobody wants a hug from the guy that just beat them. It is a poor sport to rub it in by hugging the guy you just beat. I tell my kids to not do it, it is a good way to get punched in the mouth if you do it to the wrong kid.
