I announced the addition to the meeting agenda (since I'd sent one out prior), presented the topic, allowed discussion (lots of good ideas were thrown out from several folks that we will consider for presentation next year) as well as requested the membership vote. Let me put it simply: I requested the vote. I had this intention from the beginning as my two assistant directors among several others can confirm. Was it a surprise to those in attendance? You bet it was as it was a very raw and recent topic, even for me.

I know you have been in contact with people that were there so I'm surprised you don't know this already. That or you are trying to glean something additional for your own agenda. Either way, if you feel I'm not being transparent please say so. I'm hardly afraid of being called out or corrected on a youth wrestling forum.
