As smokey put it, there are too many folks to thank individually. However, on behalf of the State Tournament Committee I would like to thank all of the volunteers from all over the State who come together each year to make this one of the premier events in this part of the country! I am always amazed by the willingness of our wrestling family to help one another. When we all come together in the same house each year it is easy to see that wrestling is alive and well in the state of Kansas!
The biggest thank you goes out to the athletes. Your level of dedication and willingness to put all you have on the line to compete at a high level humbles me; it makes the countless hours of preparation worth it. As I walked the arena watching the championship finals, my body was feeling the worse for the wear�but I could not help but get recharged by your energy and I caught myself thinking of the possibilities for next year!
