I think it is ok to recognize any kid who wrestles regardless of record. The number of wins one reaches in a career has many variables that can be outside of a wrestler's control. Each team gets 30 competition points but if the school is in a league many of those may be burned for a single match in a dual limiting the total number of matches a wrestler could get in a career. Theoretically, if a school used 28 points for 7 two day events and 2 points for duals a wrestler could get 72 matches in a single season. It is highly unlikely you will find events that achieve the 10 match count in two day events.

I would leave to each to decide what "success" means in their own terms. I am grateful for each and every wrestler who laces them up! You can't have wins if you don't have anyone to wrestle!
