Almost every tournament has something to complain about. Brute is far from perfect. But they do have some cool things. They run challenge matches with full tables and referees for those who were knocked out early and want to get some more action. They do a great job with the talent that shows up. They have a parade of champions, and finals matches with singlets for competitors to keep. Matching shirts for the coaches. And nice trophies / medals whatever with also "all american certificats or brackets"... They hit all the highlighs. They have an announcer, free clinic, run on track, and live streaming of matches. In a perfect world they would get the best of the best by age and grade show up. But, that doesnt happen. I think they had the OSU coach make an appearance and sign autographed free posters. They also donate money to REACHES. So I am not sure it is a pure "money" grab. My perspective... it is a great tournament to transition a kid from smaller tournaments to larger. A warm up for bigger tournaments like Salina, Liberty, Tulsa. It also depends on each kids bracket. Some are tough... some are not.
By "run on track" did you mean they stay on time? OR mean they use trackwrestling to run the tournament. Because they haven't use track wrestling to run the tournament in the past and they aren't planning to this year. But it is a good tournament.
