I declare that 2015 is a very good year overall! While we won't have any National Champions ... the following is what we did have!!

Three Runner-ups in Cadet Greco with 10 All-Americans! A 2nd place team finish which is the highest Team finish for the Kansans!

Team Kansas did place two wrestlers in the All-American round in Junior Greco!

In Freestyle, the Cadets had 6 in the top 8! That also means that those young men were Double All-Americans!! That was good for an 8th place Team finish!!

In Junior Freestyle, we will place 2 in the AA rounds and both will be completing the Double!!

Cody Phippen, in what may be his last hooray for Team Kansas, made history by completing the trifecta!! He was an All-American in Cadet Greco, Cadet Freestyle and Junior Freestyle!! Quite a FEAT!!

Now a bit of a rub. If those wrestlers that decided to stay home, would have made the trip. If those High School coaches that did not support our Summer programs, did so ... it is scary to me what Team Kansas could have accomplished!!

All we have to do is look South ... at the commitment the Okie's have made in`Junior Freestyle! A Statewide commitment is what it will take to continue on our path!!

I know there are still a couple of matches yet to be wrestled! But we will be leaving away from the mild weather to the scorching heat of Kansas as soon as those matches take place!

So ... this will be a tata from Fargo!

Hooray for Team Kansas ... from the athletes, to the coaches, to the support staff ... you did a tremendous job!!
