We totally agree about the boys vs girls issues. This is exactly why we have the Kansas Krusaders so we can help the girls learn to wrestle with girls and move on in the sport. Unfortunately, this is difficult because all some girls have ever known was wrestling boys, and it is hard to convince them to try girls. The ideal answer, which I am afraid is still some time away, is to get a girls league in HS. BTW, I believe a boy could go out for a girls sport, and some have, but not many are willing to accept the grief they would get over it, just to change the system.
Some girls have been willing to do this in wrestling. Right, Wrong or indifferent...girls are here in the sport and Ed and I are trying to work within the system to make it work for all. I do not get in many discussions on Title IX but if we had a girls league that would satisfy Title IX, wouldn't it?
