Thank you for posting the website. It will provide me with some quality Kansas State Tournament wrestling history as I have time. It is really awesome! Thanks again for your exceptional efforts in putting this together.

Mitch,
Jerry is right for a change. I was coaching at Wichita Heights from 1962-1978.

Thanks. Does anyone know who the coach was at Wichita East in 1968?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Dennis Charbonneau win a Championship his 1st year at Emporia as well? I think he's a 4xer.

Great work on this!

Emporia has 11 titles under four different head coaches. That shows that they have a strong youth program and supportive community.

Coach Durham of Norton should have 6 State Titles (1959, 1962, 1965, 1968, 1970, 1973).

In 1990, or 1991 the kid from Andover was stripped of his State Title.

Coach Alley would know the exact weight and year. But this is what the list has for 1991:

112 lbs.
1st – Wade Bullard (Andover High)
2nd – Randy Myers (Columbus)
3rd – Chris Tenan (Russell)
4th – Jason Soloman (Chanute)

Mitch here's some corrections and typos. 1979 4A 105 Greg Heidrick Beloit has a typo. 1980 4A 112 3rd Blaise Klenda has a typo. 1981 321A 138 2nd is Craig Dietz, not Deitz. 1984 4A site was Russell HS not Wichita. 1994 321A 160 Aaron Snyder has a typo. 1998 4A 112 6th Tom Kirkpatrick is not from Beloit, neither is 119 5th Andy Morgan. Don't know where either are from. 2005 321A 125 2nd Esterl has a typo. Thanks Mitch!

Thank you thank you thank you!!!
I was hitting the sauce pretty hard in high school, but I KNEW my sophomore year state was at Russell High School. When Mitch didn't respond to my notes, I began to think I was imagining things.
