I must commend the NCAA on the rule changes they have made in the sport of wrestling over the last several years. They have tried to think outside the box and make changes to the sport and make it more fan friendly. In the past few years they have extended the out of bounds, and made a 4 point near fall just to name a few. Next year they plan to change the takedown criteria. And what has this all done for college wrestling? They have set new attendance records all over the country!

What has the NFHS done in the past couple of years to help high school wrestling? Made sure there is no tape on headgear, and made sure shoe laces are secured to the shoe not just taped together.

I think it is time for the NFHS to get with the program and align more closely with the NCAA and make high school wrestling more exiting!
