I wish we would have the semi's the morning of day two at state.
I swear we used to in Kansas, but hell...NAIA, NCAA II and III and NJCAA....that morning session is a lot of excitement. It needs to happen. Wrestle through conso quarters night before, then you have semis, conso semis, 5th and 3rd at same time, BREAK....then championships.
You're correct, Aaron, Kansas state championship semis used to be Saturday late morning. And back then you went to bed on Friday night knowing you were in the semis, but you were not yet guaranteed a medal as only the top 4 placed, and you had to make weight again in the morning. We also walked to school in 3 feet of snow, uphill both ways!!!
