To whom it may concern,
I am one of Jim Drydens's assistants at West And I can say he is a stand up guy and a friend, who is teaching me how to be a better coach. There is not another coach I would like to to coach for. He knows his way around as much as anyone. For anyone to say he dropped the ball on Cornejo is wrong. I do not believe that, since I was there I got to see what went on everyday. I believe that Jim did everything he could to prepare Joe for his matches whoever they were. Joe is a heck of a kid one of my favorites on the team, and one I am lucky to say I get to coach. It hurt me as well to see him lose in the finals, but we cant win them for the kids, and the kids cant win them all, but when do people quit blaming someone else when a kid loses. If it were Jim's fault he would tell you it was. And as far as the newspaper thing. Since when is wrestling all about how much ink you get? Deshazer was following in his fathers footsteps with chance to win state and they did an article on it. The coach answers the questions he is asked he just doesnt have the papers put what ever he wants into it. As far as Joe being a tool. A toll is something you use and we at West don't use Jow we guide Joe and prepare Joe, and that is what we did. Not just in wrestling in life. If anything Joe should use the coaches at West to become a better wrestler since he has one heck of a coach in coach Dryden who I must say has a pretty good staff. Oh and god forbid he sits with is whoile family at a tournament since when does that factor in with how you do? Thanks for a great year Coach Dryden ZP
