I am excited to announce the launch of our summer wrestling camps! Rocky Mountain Academies provide opportunities for boys and girls, grades 1-12. Camps will be held in July at Storyline Gym in Arvada. RMA is engineered and led by college coaches. Each camp is designed to promote athletic development and leadership skills by creating an atmosphere that challenges athletes to embrace a growth mindset each day. Camps are engaging, fun, and age/level appropriate for participants. This location offers a variety of activities within a 30 minute drive... RMA Coaching Staff for our July 2021 camps. Seth Ecker will be lead clinician for the boys camps and Travis Marcado will lead the girls camps. Current college wrestlers will assist as mentors and additional clinicians may be added to the staff based on registration numbers over the upcoming weeks.

Seth Ecker is a 2-time NCAA National Champion. Ecker grew up wrestling in Pennsylvania and attended Ithaca College. He joined the Colorado School of Mines coaching staff in 2020 with a diversity of experience at all three divisions of NCAA wrestling. Ecker has coached at Kutztown University, the University of Maryland, Ithaca College, and Ursinus College.

Travis Marcado has quickly built the Colorado Mesa University women’s wrestling program into a national power. His program finished fourth at the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships for the second straight season and has produced 16 all-Americans. He had a national finalist for the second straight year in 2021 as Marissa Gallegos took second at the national tournament before going on to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials, a first for the young Maverick program. Mercado was selected to coach the 2015 U.S. Women’s Freestyle Cadet National Team and both the 2016 & 2020 Junior National Teams at the Junior Pan American Games. He has also been selected to coach the U.S. Women’s Freestyle Junior National Team at the 2021 Cadet & Junior Pan American Games.
