Looks like a decent day for the Blue Jays....congrats.
Was Tait injured at the meet or was the injury default a precautionary move?
Who beat Esterl and was it a close match?
Surprised a bit by the Pfannenstiel/Schamberger result (how 'bout 'dem good German names), was it a pretty good bout?
Thanks!

The injury default by Weatherbee was, I beleive, precautionary.
Esterl was defeated by Norton's Harding.

Pfannenstiel vs. Schamberger match was a great one: 4-2 in OT.

Congrats to our friends from Mill Valley. They had 1 Champion and 5 other placers. Great improvement, If you keep improving like this we will have to put you up in the barn the night before the tourny. Coach Ray has volunteered his fine "West Wing" for all of the returning placers. (Ha ! Ha !) Good luck in 5-A the rest of the season.
Also It was good to see Tait Weatherbee-TMP back on the mat. He looked good in the Semis, but wisely chose not to chance it in the Finals against Baker-Hoxie. If he is able to win the 4-A state title after breaking his leg in football it would be an amazing story. Good Luck Tait.

Coach Johnson, Broeckelman, and the rest of the Norton wrestling community: I would like to say a big thank you from myself, Head coach Travis Keal and our entire program. You guys sure know how to put on a heck of a tournament. Our parents and wrestlers were very impressed with the quality of the tournament. It was definitely exciting! By the way, Coach Ray's West Wing sounds allright to me, he assured me the wolves haven't been able to get in yet!
Fortunately most of the wrestlers that come to us are already good young men, we just try to make them better wrestlers (and we get some good ones to start out with too!).
We'll be seing you this weekend and good luck the rest of the year. Go win another one!
PS: if any coaches out there need an example of the importance of getting bonus points, or all wrestlers contributing in a tournament, the results above would be a good one. 2 points seperated 2nd and 6th!
