I'll try to get individual results up later but some things I noticed from my prospective:

Chapman had 12 guys and 11 placed (Shorter the lone Senior was the only non placer)...the killer was Abilene scoring bonus point wins and landing more in the finals.

Arveson loses to Scheideman on a call that still has me scratching my head. The one leg takedown for those that were there.

Justin Espeseth started the year pretty slow on the year going 4-3 to begin the 1st week of wrestling. Since then though he's beating a ranked 3a wrestler and now has 2 tournament Championships including tonight's pinfall victory over Shaw of Hillsboro.

Even though he lost by md in the finals I like the darkhorse capabilities of Wamego's Jared Brown come regionals. He has some stellar moves that could end a match fast against a good wrestler. Bad thing for him is that Tischauser is better than good and proved it tonight.

135 Melcher is a STUD! That kid is heavy with the hands and just beats down on you to the point you want to quit. 3a take heed...he's TOUGH!

119 Don't know if the 1-7 record was a misprint or not and I don't remember watching him but Nick Jackson of Wamego had the ability to frustrate people he lost 5-1 to Peterson in the 1st round then wbf in :49 and :29 to make the conso finals.


Rein at 112 had a 1:30 tech fall in the semis and although the brackets say he had a 4 minute tech in the finals it was actually 1 minute in the 2nd meaning 3 minutes unless we are going college time all the sudden for 1st period. Teched a guy that aparently is ranked in 3a Harchman of Chase County.
