****All of life is spiritual. See Church's quote in a previous post on this thread... spirituality is not just something that one does on Sunday. It should encompass all of one's life and being.
is rooted in a couple of areas. The first being that none of us come close to living up to Christ's standard or his teachings; all of us fall short and so I believe that when you quote from the Bible you are in a sense putting yourself on a pedestal and saying, "I am better than you are."
***Yes, that is a real danger. However, when used correctly it is the Bible/God that judges, not the person. Yes, we are told not to judge. But then we are also told to judge and that by Jesus himself. Jn 7:24 -- Context. Context. Context. We all judge. (Remember, Jesus telling the woman at the well - "go and sin no more" - kind of judgmental huh?) It is impossible to live without judging. The question to ask is are we judging righteously by Biblical (not our own) standards?
Anyway, if you care to continue this discussion on spirituality then please email me.
Take care and God bless.
