And That is thanks to the poor calls from what I hear. The thing about this sport if they wrestled again would the same person come out ahead?

I was just wondering who came up on top on the team scores behind Hoxie? Norton or Minneapolis?

Hey Gotalovit, you've probably never made it to English class, and you can't deny that!

Im not denying that Drennan is the state champion, Im just saying, mattizard could have gave johnson and norton a little more credit than he did.

Johnson and Norton go without saying they are both great. And i just wanted Drennen to get a fair shake. Drennan as well as Johnson, Pyle, & Englebert are great wrestlers and hope one of them or more go to the east/west clasics (spelling)

Engelbert. Watching Pyle at the tournament, I don't think he lived up to the undefeated hype he was lugging around. I guess that's what a weak schedule will do to you.

Ya i hear that.. what happend to Shawn George of Sabetha also, he was supposed to take it all, atleast according to rankings, and he got stuck by Ruder of TMP, and neither placed, what was up there. Ya i think Shawn is a great wrestler, and had a bad couple of days, but wow...

i heard that pyle didnt if any wrestle a full match until state. plus since dre ebert and johnson have had harder competition throughout the year so they have been able to prepare themselves for better matches. I heard in the finals match between johnson and dre all johnson did is block everything that dre was attempting so dre was doin all the work and johnson just wanted it to look like a close match.

Debra there's always someone crying when their wrestler doesn't win a match. I'm a fan of wrestling, lived in Norton and support all wrestlers. I'm betting Drennan didn't make excuses for his placing at regionals. I hate to hear people already making excuses for their favorite wrestlers. When you have great wrestlers in the same bracket matches will be close. Just be glad that four of the best in the state met and left all they had on the mat, no excuses! As for someone needing to give Johnson credit, he doesn't need to be GIVEN anything. He's earned every bit of credit he deserves. The guys great, has state gold metals to prove it. He just met someone in the finals that earned some credit himself.

Drennan may not have made excuses, but his supporters in Minneapolis and elsewhere claimed that he "threw" the match against Engelbert. Johnson isn't making excuses, I can guarantee that, he's just waiting until he has another chance to show who the real man is. Also, if you think Johnson was blocking everything off, you are an idiot. Why did Drennan get warned for stalling in the first or second period, if Johnson was just blocking off?

They both weren't doing much on their feet in the match until the end when one had to win and drennan stepped it up. They both should have been warned for stalling.

They both should have been called for stalling. nore johnson or drennan were doin anything much on their feet until drennan had stepped it up to win. In OT all johnson did was try and flee the mat.

That's the only thing I seen today Johnson trying to flee the mat.If Drennen wouldn't have gotten the takedown he would've gotten a point for fleeing. This WAS a great match!! We left early, wished we would stayed.Great job to both MEN!!!!And to Coach Johnson, that had to a bitter loss!

First of all neither were stalling in the match. both are outstanding wrestlers, they both wrestled very smart neither gave up postion and didnt make mistakes. The match was very well officiated. The ref left it up to the wrestlers to see who was going to win. It has to be up there with the all-time hyped matches in history and it lived up to it.
PS never doubt dre

YOU don't think fleeing the mat is stalling? Drennen pulled Johnson back on three times to get the takedown!!Still was a great MATCH!!!!!
