Travis, I thought long and hard about the point you make up prior to putting the list together. After a great deal of thought and discussion with a few people I greatly respect, I decided to include people from other states that wrestled in Kansas for a variety of reasons, mainly, for the period of time they were here Kansas had some kind of an impact on them. There are others on that list like Daniel Cormier that fall into that category as well. Part of the hope is that others will be inspired and moved to go watch our colleges wrestle and see future All Americans and Olympians. Among the names you mention I was pleased with a large number of pleasant surprises. Among the greatest of those was Clay Holly, who was my son's last Free-Style and Greco Coach in Oklahoma before moving to Wichita. Clay's boy and our son are good friends and in Fargo this year, for our first ever complete season Clay was there behind the score table urging Nathan on and giving him advice before the match. I know Clay and have since spoken to him about his experience in Kansas and it is something he will never forget.
