Just wanted to congratulate Mat & Jordan on their All-American level placement at the 2004 NHSCA Senior Nationals this weekend. Great job at the national meet and also during your high school careers - it has sure been a pleasure to watch each of you compete. Good luck to each of you as you start the next chapter of your life.
Also, thanks to all of the other national tournament competitors for the fine fashion in which they represented our great state during their standout careers in the Kansas high school ranks. Nice job! And good luck.

Nigel, I will not lower myself to your level. Low blow pal. Of course you didn't "mean it" like that. Get a life and grow up some.

Les was right-- those guys were fun to watch wrestle. Hopefully we'll be hearing a great deal from Jordan in the future, and hopefully Matt can enjoy some more great years in the college ranks. was really bummed that some of our other guys couldn't have joined them in the all-American club, but I think most of the fellows wrestled pretty well.

Congrats to Bewindow and Gilliland. With Gilliland becoming an all-American, that makes the tally look something like this--
Eisenhower Middle School all-Americans: 1 Anthony Middle School all-Americans: 0
Eagles 4 lyfe.

Nigel,
You've got to be kidding me! You would have blown your top (and rightfully so) if someone would have post that crap on Jake after his loss at regionals.
I'm sure you are a good guy, but comments against high school kids does not reflect your better qualities. Luke was beat. He handled it like a champion. Why do you feel the need to get on a forum and bash him? Hell, I don't think he has ever post something about you on here. Next time you feel the need to put something like that on here why don't you go pour yourself a nice Jamocha shake and chill out!

How was that a low blow? I was simply replying to what Jhris said, I said perhaps the reason he didn't go to nationals was because he got beat and didn't want to. But you can all think what you want to. Ryan, no I would not have blown my top about Jake. Plenty of people said negative things about Jake after he lost a regionals and I didn't get all mad about it, i said "its good that he lost this week cause now he knows what he has to do for next week" My comment on Luke was not meant to be derogatory towards him, only an explanation as to why, only he knows the real answer so perhaps he should answer, but while you are in the mood for bashing people with opinions why don't you scream at Jhris for calling Luke dumb.
So back to the point, My congrats to Matt and Jordan, I got to see Jordan at state and he impressed me, Coach Lane lighten up please, don't try to see more into my statements than what are there. I have deleted that post only to prove that I was not in fact bashing that young man.

1. Perhaps you should figure out that by saying "I'm sure you are a good guy, but comments against high school kids does not reflect your better qualities" is not bashing. I can bash much better than that. I was saying you need to think about the way you post.
2. Luke doesn't need to respond any more than you need to give reasons for him.
3. Don't make your comment out to be less than it was. It was a low blow. I see kids do that all the time. They say something thinking it's funny, but when they get called on it they try to interpret it another way. By the way, I teach 7th graders.
To everyone else: Sorry to use a thread for other messages. Congrats to all of the wrestlers on their effort, and especially to Matt and Jordan on outstanding accomplishments!

I read Nigel's now deleted post about Zousas earlier. And I would agree with Ryan that it was a low blow. I also take exception to Jhris's earlier statement that he was "dumb" for not attending nationals.
With less than 10 losses in his high school career, Zousas doesn't need to justify anything. He has already signed with FHSU. There was really nothing for him to gain by going to nationals. If placing at nationals is a goal of his, he'll have 4 more years at college to accomplish that.
And since this topic is supposed to be about Gilliland and Bedore......congrats to both of them!!

I would like to say congrats to Mat and Jordan also. I would also like to say great job to all of team Kansas for showing what you are made of by getting on that plane, making the trip and wrestling the best seniors in the nation. Great job. And congrats again to our two All- Americans.
