just was wondering how the B.I.T. was ran I take it that there was 2 pools but what I was wondering was the brackets with 8 or less men in them , did the top 2 in the pool advance to the championship semi-finals or did just the 1st place guy from the pool go for 1st and the 2nd place guy go for 3rd place and then the 3rd place guy in the pool go for 5th and so on. Just wanted to know how it was ran, I thought this was a great idea to get people more matches and still have a tournament instead like those dual tourneys that everyone seems to be going to get 5 matches in a day when you could very easily get 5 matches in a day with a tourney like this if the teams are full.

We seeded out as far as we had seedables, then drew the rest in.

P3rd vs. S3rd for 5th
P4th vs. S4th for 7th
P5th vs. S5th for 9th

The ideas is to get five matches per wrestler, however, too many opens prevented this from happening. But every wrestler did receive between 3-5 matches on the day.

how come the results here are different than what the star has in several weights?

It was a very nicely run tournament. There was very little down time and all wrestlers were able to get more mat time than in a regular tournament where you are only guaranteed 2 matches. Nice job.

The KC-Star must have mistyped some of the results in Sunday paper. Several of the finals matches results were not accurate with what we FAXed them.
