Sometimes in life one becomes too proud to beg. At other times you do what you have to do. I came across an interesting tid bit this morning in my conversation with Tyler Graebner's family. In the conversation I became aware of the fact that the family doesn't have a computer or internet availability. I think Tyler's words were something like, "Yea, I have my own web site now but I don't have any way to see it."
Some folks out there have a way to correct that problem today. Just thought I would throw it out for consideration on this, 2 days before Christmas.

Mr. Furches,
I wouldn't begin to call what you are doing begging. I think you should be commended for all you are doing to help Tyler. I am sending $50 today to Tyler's fund toward the purchase of a computer or toward whatever the family needs. I challenge all "wrestling moms" to open your hearts and send a donation. I'll keep Tyler and his family in my prayers.

Thanks for your thoughts, I don't care what you call it, as long as this little boy and his family know that they are touching people this Christmas and we have the chance to touch them back with a act of love. It is amazing how this holiday centers around a babe, yet babes still touch the hearts of people.

Way to go Mike. This sport and it's "family" is one to be proud of. I don't know if it is like this in other states, but Kansas Wrestling is the best in my book.
Merry Christmas to Tyler and his family and to the entire Kansas Wrestling Family!

Anyone living in the Hutch area with some computer knowledge that would like to make Tyler and family Christmas eve a little better give me a call on the cell phone, number is 316-841-5814. Had a little trouble getting the modem to work correctly and I am not as computer savy as I would like to. I have obligations at church tonight so couldn't stay.
I will say this, he and his family are so grateful for the way the community has come together. They also realize it is a reflection of the love of the wrestling family for each other. I honestly think that today with the Graebner family was the best Christmas ever for me. For all of the wrestling community that helped make that computer and PS2 Games possible, I can't tell you how grateful I am for allowing me the honor of delivering it. We talked wrestling an awful lot and what an honor to have my photo taken with my new hero. What a trooper!
Nathan was with me and gave Tyler one of his National Championship Medals, his 1st place trophy from the Salina Tournament of Champions and his State Championship T-Shirt. I honestly think Tyler was glad he was there not for those things but so that Nate and he could play the new PS2 games for most of the day. It was great to have Eric talk to Tyler while there, also had phone calls from Dantzler and Bo Maynes while there. What a reminder of what Christmas is all about. Merry Christmas everyone, and please if you give me a call and can either go help Tyler get the computer set up or talk them through it I would appreciate it as I know they would.

Great News, Tyler is on line with his family and can now see all of the greetings from the wrestling community. Boy is this a good Christmas or what?

I have had an incredible Christmas this year. I had the honor today of going to the home of Tyler Graebner and taking him a new computer so he can be on line and see all of the support he has. Today I received phone calls from T.C. Dantzler and Bo Maynes giving their support to Tyler and Bo attending and participating at the clinic for Tyler. This year, like none other ever, I have seen people come together to celebrate the life of a small child named Tyler Graebner. His life is already been an inspiration to many and his web site http://www.tylergraebner.com is up and running and paying tribute to the wrestling community and those that need support like Aaron Sweazy one of our own. This Christmas may each of us involved in wrestling remember that there is so much more joy to giving and loving than getting and receiving. I know that a little boy has inspired me to be a better man, coach, and father. May that spirit inspire us all. I encourage you that if Tyler has touched you this year to send a comment to his guestbook. It is amazing that Olympic and National Champions are doing that. I saw the smile on his face today as he spoke to Eric Akin and I know how much all of those comments mean to him Last thing I want to say about Tyler for the day is that I was blessed at how his life has touched not only national champions but the lives of those close to me. My son went with me today and gave Tyler a State Champion t-shirt, one of his National Championship Medals and a 1st place trophy from the Tournament of Champions. Then after all of this the two of them sat down and played ps2 games for several hours. After all of this my own son reminded me, “Papa, those things were nice and I’m glad I gave them to Tyler, but I think he is just happy being a little boy and playing. I think he was more glad that I was there to play with him than anything.” Personal touches add a lot, so remember that in your communication with Tyler and his family. Remember that in the time we spend with family together on this celebration day of another child who came and gave love. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Kwanza or whatever day you celebrate this Holiday season. May the New Years Resolution of us all, be to help those that we can, and touch the lives of those where we feel led. God Bless.
