I was wondering about Jason Pyle at 135, I know he is one of my wrestles but I just thought he should be in consideration even though we wrestle in NE Kansas and are 321A. But then again you got Strawn and he will be (prolly) undefeated this year again. Guy is an animal. Can't wait to dual them this year! Coach Brown

I agree with doughboy - there's sleepers out there and a lot that you all have overlooked! Think about it. Yep.

You are exactly right. Payne won 3-2 in the finals. Payne was 33-1 and Madison finished 28-2. I think it's the "wow' factor that puts Madison on the list. Next year shoould be fun with those two. I'm going to put Payne back on the list with Madison also.

If Sutton Kearn is 189 then maybe put him in if Strawn isn't there. If Erisman isn't at 171 then maybe there. Don't know if he is a 1st teamer though.

I don't think kearn will be at 189...he was makin 171 pretty easily this summer...I'm suprised nobody has mentioned anyone from Goddard...being a Goddard guy myself I'll throw some in...for the 125 spot Freeman COULD be in there somewhere...he is a state champ and injury defaulted this year at state...and at 135 Traina took third and beat Hentzen once last year and he COULD possibly be mentioned...as for me I'm looking at 130 and me and Tristen have talked about us wrestling next year so he is going 130 too..should be interesting I think anyways...we'll see when season starts...

Bronco Wrestler, Tell when Bahe and Madden met ? I was there when he lost to Bahe at the Holiday Classic, but I don't remember the second time. I only missed the Hays/Kearney dual. But since you know so much about Clay, especially since you lost twice to him in 2003 that should classifie you as a expert on the subject. As for this topic.....Don't put Clay on any list,he will prove himself...he doesn't need any Pre-All Star status .......

That was merely a joke to how bad I was and how good he IS. As I said... I BELIEVE... meaning I wasn't exactly sure... don't try to make things out of what's not there. Clay is a 3 time State Champion and very talented, I know first hand. But he did lose to Bahe so before you put him on there you would have include Bahe as was my point. Alex

Norton 47, Kearney 24 103: Logan Keiswetter, N, won by tech fall over Collin Rees, 17-0. 112: Shane Castillo, K, won by decision over Clay Madden, 3-1. 119: Daniel Rodriguez, K, pinned Nathan Broeckelman, 3.23. 125: Kent Mann, N, won by decision over Warner Phipps, 4-2. 130: Jon Harding, N, pinned Justin Dekok, .36. 135: Jeremy Harding, N, pinned Jon Crocker, .38. 140: Luke Pfannensteil, N, won by decision over Reese Florang, 9-8. 145: Marvin Peterson, K, won by decision over Blake Vanaton, 3-1. 152: Lance Roe, N, pinned Jon Pearson, 2.31. 160: K won by forfeit. 171: David Stanley, N, pinned Eli Clifford, .44. 189: Kyle Brill, K, pinned Paul Janemann, 4.52. 215: Blake Hillbrand, N, pinned Nathen Welch, 1.12. 275: Michael Sprigg, N, pinned Sam Icenogle, 2.52.
I thought the score was different from 3-1. I was wrong as I have been many times before. Those would be his losses then.
Castillo Kearney- 3-1 Bahe Goodland- 4-0 Metzler Newton- 12-8
Those were his 3 losses this year and to who. Before I would put Madden on there I would put Bahe or Metzler since they have beat him.

They may have beaten him on certain occasions, but he's the only 3-timer on that list. I think the three titles say more than those three losses last season.

I think the three titles say more than those three losses last season. No disrespect to anyone on the list but billy_mcjackson-ripjs makes a great point here. A state championship should exit out all other defeats, even if it is like a 1-3 record against another individual if the one win was a state championship. That is why I am still giving Altman the respect over some of the other kids. I know those kids at that weight they are great kids, great wrestlers, but Altman is a defending state champion.
